Machado Grand Slam Powers Padres Past Dodgers

Manny Machado play has been up and down all season long. However, with the bases loaded, he stepped up and brought all the boys home.

Machado hit a grand slam home run, bringing his total for the season of five home runs and 13 RBI's.

San Diego would go on to cruise to victory holding the mighty Dodger lineup to just three runs in the first two games of series.

Now San Diego is in a second place tie with Los Angeles at 11 wins and seven losses.

Game three of this four game series will be played Wednesday night at 9:40 P.M

Fun fact story: The teacher and I

I was in third grade and I always enjoyed competing against my peers playing whatever sport I could play. I wasn't good in all of them but always wanted to be on the winning team of course or win myself. I was playing tettherall and consistently beating people, left and right. I beat a record at that time, as i was told, ten people in a row. I was expecting to get a gold star because every Friday morning they recognized the kids with gold stars for the week in a ceremony. I asked the teacher for my gold start after I been beaten and set the record. However, i was ignored, so I asked politely again, but i was still being ignored. I then tapped the teacher on her shoulder and said excuse me miss, can i have my gold star please? She said i tapped her hard, but i was eight, how hard can I really tap someone, ya know? I then got in trouble because she said i hit her. i got sent to the office, my mama had to get off work early and come get me, she was mad. I told her what happened and I got grounded and a whupping too. I told my mother that i deserved that gold star and she was not hearing me. My mother said she didn't give a damn about the gold star and not to ever touch anyone especially a woman over that reason again. I learned a valuable lesson that day and that was, the hell with the gold star, it is not worth having a red backside.
