What started out as a beautiful evening for the Padres, ended in doom at the end of the night.
Starting pitcher for San Diego Chris Paddock had another solid evening. Giving up just 2 runs in 5 innings of work, while garnering a 6-2 lead for the Padres.
However, the pesky San Francisco Giants would not quit.
Following Paddock exit, the Giants would hit a home run in the sixth by Alex Dickerson to cut the lead to three, 6-3.
Then two innings later in the 8th, Donovan Solano of the Giants, would hit a game tying three run home run, giving Solano a 4 RBi night and making it a new ballgame.
First time all season that the Padres would give up late runs after having a secured lead, or what most would think is secure.
In the ninth, Mike Yastrzemski would hit his second home run of the game as a walk-off, securing the win for the Giants 7-6.
Solano and Yastrzemski was the difference in ball game. Accounting for 6 of the Giants 7 runs and squaring there record at 3-3
For San Diego, it was just there second loss in six games, both by one run scores.
Eric Hosmer, first baseman for the Padres was a late scratch again for the third time this season.
Positives for the Padres, both Manny Machado and Trent Grisham hit their second home runs of the season.
Series finale will be played tomorrow night
First pitch is slated at 9:45 P.M (Eastern Time)
Fun fact story about me and the Del Mar Fair
I went to the Del mar fair in San Diego growing up numerous of times. i love that place with the rides, the petting zoo and the shows it put on, it was such a blast. One particular time i went though, i was five years old and my mom, mom's friends and my friends all went to the fair. WE got on a ride called the bumper boats because it was a hot day and i loved the water. i saw that my mom tipped over on the boat and fell into the water. At 5 years old, i was scared and didn't like to see my mama in trouble. So i did what i thought any son would do, i jumped in the water to try to save my mother. Unfortunately, i didn't know how to swim. By the time i was floating around in the water and damn near sinking, my mama was already rescued. The lifeguards came and gt me out of the water and my mom asked me Why did you do that? I replied back I saw you in trouble in the water and I didn't want to lose you. She then said you could have drowned! I said I wasn't thinking about me, mama. We then hugged, said i love you to each other and walked around the fair soak and wet, but still had an amazing time!
