San Diego would out hit Arizona seven to five, but lose a close contest 3-2
The pivotal moment of the game was when starting pitcher for the Diamondbacks, Merrill Kelly was able to work out of a no out jam with two runners on and kept the scored tied at 1-1.
The padres only two rune would be homers by Fernando Tatis Jr., giving him seven on the season to lead the team.
Sterling Marte for Arizona would also homer and score on a sacrifice, giving him two runs on the night as well. He has nine hits versus San Diego this season, giving him the most against the Padres on the team.
The difference was Stephen Vogt, who also homered off Paddock to give Arizona the cushion they needed to hold on for the win.
It is just the Padres second loss in six games this season versus the Diamondbacks.
