Bats went extremely cold for San Diego.

In multiple innings, Padres had runners in scoring position and failed to bring them home.

Dodgers scored two runs and starting pitcher for San Diego, Zach Davies, pitched a solid outings going seven innings surrendering only those runs.

However, San Diego could not give any support and when things turned to Craig Stammen, bullpen pitcher of the Padres, e would give up four runs in the bottom of the eighth, including a three run homer to Justin Turner of the Dodgers.

This breaks the tie for second as the Dodgers hold a one game lead over the Padres and only a half game back of the Colorado Rockies for first place.

Turner's home run put the game out of reach and solidified the first win in the series for Los Angeles.

The series finale will be played Thursday night at 9:40 P.M

Game is at Eastern Time.
