The San Diego Padres made a lot of moves before the trade deadline and one of them has quickly made an impact on the team.
Jason Castro, catcher, was originally with the Angels, came through in the top of the eighth inning, with a double to give Padres the lead for good.
Eric Hosmer broke the game open in the same inning by hitting a three run homer for his eighth of the season in victory.
Manny Machado, who has been one of the hottest players in the league, had another multi-hit game and added two RBI's on the night.
For the Angels, Mike Trout, outfielder, hit his MLB league tying 13th home run. He is now tied for the most with fellow Californian player Fernando Tatis Jr.
Finale of this two game series ends tonight at 7:10 P.M
Game is at Eastern Time.
