Fun Fact Story about Museum of Tolerance

I was in 6th grade and i was in a club called the B.E.S.T club. it stood for Black Educated Successful and Talented. I love doing these type of clubs throughout my childhood because I loved learning new things and meeting new people. We got a permission slip signed and we got bused to Los Angeles to go to the Museum of Tolerance. I had no idea what it was, but when i walked in, I saw a lot of gruesome photos and some artifacts as well. It was the History of the Holocaust. In school, I learned a little about the Holocaust that took place with Hitler and all, but that Museum gave an in-depth detailed story of exactly what went down through those times. My eyes were so red with tears as an eleven year old kid couldn't believe people could do this to a race. Couldn't believe someone could have that much hate in there heart. It definitely made me realized even more of the importance of treating people with love, respect and knowing the world would be a better place with more mindsets like that. it also taught me to expect everyone isn't going to be like that and you have to make wise decisions on who you surround yourself with. Not a dry eye left that Museum that day and it was an experience i'd never forget. The one positive was i met one of my best friends that day and din't even know we shared a lot in common. To this day, we still talk and i am thankful for him and the trip to the Museum.
