The San Diego Padre have a glaring problem. Its bullpen.

This was a back and forth kind of great baseball game all night long

Charlie Blackmon, outfielder for the Rockies hit a two run homer to put Rockies ahead 2-0.

Then Padres would manufacture three runs in sixth inning to go ahead 3-2

Ensuing inning Matt Kemp, for Colorado, would hit a two run double to put Rockies up 4-3

Manny Machado, third baseman for Padres, gets a Rbi single to tie up ballgame.

Trevor Story, shortstop for Colorado, would untie the game with a home run, giving the Rockies a 5-4 lead.

Down to there very last out in the ninth, the Padres would tie the game with a Tatis Jr. home run to tie game and then Tommy Pham, outfielder for San Diego, added a three run homer to give the Padres 8-5 lead.

Then things would get interesting.

The Padres bullpen would walk multiple batters and give up two runs in the bottom of the ninth to cut there lead to one.

Drew Pomeranz came in for the Padres and got the final out needed to preserve the win for San Diego.

San Diego is now in first place alone in the NL West.
