A night after the Braves pounded the Mets by winning 14-1, they come back tonight and get pummeled by Tampa Bay to the score of 14-5.

The Rays hit the same amount of home runs that the entire Braves team scored in runs. Never a good thing when those two things are tied up when it is a disadvantage for the Braves.

Tampa Bay's Hunter Renfroe(2) , Joey Wendle, Jose Martinez and Mike Zumino all hit home runs in a big offensive night.

Rays scored 14 runs in the entire Toronto series, winning two of those three games. They scored 14 in just eight innings of work tonight.

Tampa broke a tied game in the fourth inning by scoring 8 runs, making it a 9-1 score, in which they would never relinquish the lead.

Out of the 27 outs that was recorded by the Rays, 19 of them were by strikeout, which is a team record for most in a game. Starting pitcher for the Rays Tyler Glasnow, had nine strikeouts.

Positives for the Braves, Matt Adams and Dansby Swanson both homered for the team, however Ronald Acuna Jr. and Marcell Ozuna combined to go 1-7, with six strikeouts.

Next game is slated for July 28th. This will be the second game in Tampa Bay of the four these two teams will play consecutively. The next two games after being Wednesday and Thursday, will be played in Atlanta.

First pitch is at 6:40 P.M (Eastern Time)
