Padres came in losing five straight games on a current nine game road trip.
However, tonight you definitely wouldn't have noticed it.
San Diego scored the most runs in a game all season long with 14 runs on just 11 hits.
Fernando Tatis Jr. took the outright lead in home runs for MLB hitting his 10th and 11th of the season en route to a seven RBI night in a 14-4 victory.
Every starter on the padres outside of Manny Machado who went 0-5, had a base hit in the game.
Zach Davies, starting pitcher for San Diego, had another stellar outing, going five innings and striking out six.
This is the first of four meetings between these two teams in a home and home series.
Next game between these two will be tomorrow afternoon at 4:05 P.M and then they will play the next two in San Diego.
Game is at Eastern Time.
