They have won six straight games and have been on fire with the bats lately.
Trent Grisham had himself a ball game, homering three times and accounting for six RBI's in 13-2 victory over the Astros.
Another grand slam was hit which is the fifth in six games by infielder Jake Cronenworth that broke open a close game and made it a rout.
Zach Davies had an 11-1 lead after two completed innings, more than enough cushion to preserve the victory.
With the win, it is the second series in a row the Padres have won and pushes there record to 17-12, four games back in second place of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In the six game win streak, San Diego has outscored there opponents 51-23, surrendering less than four runs on average.
The finale of this series is tomorrow afternoon at 4 P.M
