WOODSTOCK -- In its regular-season finale, Woodstock was unable to keep pace with Roswell, falling 62-6 on Friday at the Wolverine Den. Roswell (8-2, 4-1 Region 5AAAAAAA) scored the first 14 points of the game, with quarterback Robbie Roper throwing two touchdown passes to Ethan Nation of 7 and 27 yards. Woodstock (0-10, 0-5) responded by executing a 13-play, 84-yard drive, culminating in Dan Comeau's 2-yard touchdown pass to Alex Hendricks, cutting the lead to 14-6. The Wolverines would get no closer. Costly turnovers in the second quarter turned a close game into a 35-point deficit by halftime. Roper threw three more first-half touchdown passes, giving him five on the night and passing for 221 yards. He did not play in the second half. Nation had six catches for 72 yards and four touchdowns on the night. Comeau finished the night 14-of-26 for 115 yards with the touchdown and an interception. First-year Woodstock coach Troy Hoff reflected on Comeau's night and what he would like to see from him next year. "He's a tough kid. He's a gamer," Hoff said. "Just want him to continue to lead us. It's a new offense. He's still learning, and we want to put more on his shoulders and take that next step." Despite a struggle-filled season, Hoff expressed his gratitude with the support he has received from the school and beyond. "Great community," Hoff said. "It first starts with our administrative staff support. Our principal, Mr. (Mark) Smith, and everyone on the admin staff has been positive through a challenging year. It's been great." To the fans, I say, 'Thank you.' When the record is what it is, it's hard to come out and support. We have had great support all season long, especially since, last year, we were restricted. The community has been nothing but great to us, and as a program, we really

appreciate it."
