One of the most telling things in this game was the shot differential between the two teams.
Knights had 34 shots on goal, while the Blackhawks had 20.
Corey Crawford, goalie for Chicago, gave up an average of close to four goals in the Oilers' series but Blackhawks averaged four goals a game to make up for that.
This series/opponent is much different.
Vegas scored four goals but held Chicago to there lowest goal output of one.
In the four game series against Edmonton, Chicago averaged 30.5 shots on goal in route to scoring 16 goals in that series.
For them to beat the Vegas knights, they're going to have to generate more Shots than 20, otherwise it will be a quick series.
Also, Chicago has to do something defensively about Forward Reilly Smith of the Knights, who made quite an impact in game one by getting three points and scoring two goals.
Robin Lehner, goalie for Vegas, was with the Blackhawks for 33 days this season and did a marvelous job of stopping 95% of the shots.
Game 2, I will be definitely looking to see how aggressive the Blackhawks come out and defend, because to go down 0-2 to the number 1 team in West will be a steep hole to climb out of.
Game 2 of this seven game series is tomorrow evening at 5:30 P.M
Game is at Eastern Time
